Sitha and Tim. Michelle P wrote a review Jan Los Angeles, California 21 contributions 2 helpful votes. Sweet relaxing hide away. I loved the chill atmosphere and pool.
The rooms had everything we needed and the food at the restaurant was great! It was a perfect home base for adventurous days. The hosts are great and really make you feel at home.
The ex-pat bar regulars are fun to meet and will spin a good yarn of their various adventures all over the world and here in Siem Reap. Tim hooked us up with a great tuk-tuk driver Mr.
Ty who took us on many great adventures. All in all it hit the perfect note of relaxing, interesting and fun!
Date of stay: December Trip type: Traveled with family. Thank you so much for taking time to write us such a nice review! Sitha and I had a blast hosting you and Pete and Jack!
Safe travels and hopefully we will see you again in ! Best, Tim and Sitha. Jeannet W wrote a review Nov Cambridge, United Kingdom contributions 22 helpful votes.
Great, chilled place to stay! I stayed at Downtown Siem Reap Villa for 6 nights. Right from the start I felt at home. I was greated by one of the owners, Tim, who showed me to my room and immediately moved me to another room upgraded at no extra cost to accommodate my needs.
I met his wife, Sitha, on my last day. Both are very warm and approachable people who will do everything to make your stay a success.
The location of the hotel is brilliant, in a more relaxed area just across the bridge 5 minute walk from the full frenzie of central Siem Reap. The hotel has a lovely pool alongside its restaurant and bar, Star Bar, which has live performances and film showings some evenings.
If you like to go to bed early, ask for a room around the back. My room was wonderfully quiet! If you are travelling on a budget, this really is the perfect place for you.
Fully recommended! Date of stay: November Trip type: Traveled solo. Jeannet thank you for reviewing our property, we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us!
It's our goal to create an atmosphere that makes it easy for the guest to relax and chill out! Whether it's around the pool or at the Star Bar, we work very hard to provide those things that make your stay relaxing and drama free.
Small things like plenty of power outlets at Star Bar for your laptop or phone charging, or bigger things like playing movies on our 4m x 2.
Sometimes after a long, exhausting day of exploring the Angkor Wat temples you just want to chill out with a pizza and a few cold drinks and watch a movie!

We loved it. We arrived exhausted a found a perfect home. We stayed for 4 nights and loved the room, the pool, the food and the hosts. They took over the place and they are making little changes every day to make it even better.
It was a fantastic place and we will come back soon. Date of stay: October Trip type: Traveled as a couple.

Enjoy your time! How can we create hybrid spaces linking school-mathematics to mathematics situated in cultural, everyday contexts? What dos it mean to develop a critical approach to mathematics and culture in an increasingly complex world?
But can we use mathematics without understanding? You just get used to them. There may be degrees of understanding. And there may also be a form of understanding that impedes better understanding.
Pragmatically, the power of adaptability of a schema results from its connection to a greater number of concepts, but it may happen that what is an appropriate schema at one particular time may be obsolete and turn into an obstacle later on Brousseau, A different idea implied by this saying would be that to understand mathematics we need to connect our mathematical understandings with our understandings of the world we live in natural, psychological and socio-cultural; see also Skemp, This idea is at the base of the concept of mathematization, or, more precisely, horizontal mathematization Freudenthal, Concurring with this idea is the belief many have that Mathematics is a cultural product based on human experiences, such as counting, measuring, locating, designing, explaining, and playing Bishop, This idea is in line with a recent formulation of understanding in epistemology, in which understanding of a given phenomenon has to be maximally well-connected and it may have degrees of approximation Kelp, Concerning the learning and teaching of mathematics in the complexity of our world, we can revalue the ideas of Galileo, Descartes and Von Neumann on the central role of mathematics in the context of the genetic approach of epistemology proposed by Piaget to the logical-mathematical dimension of the construction of scientific knowledge.
Piaget proposed replacing the positivist hierarchization of science with an interdisciplinary cyclic epistemology. This approach to epistemological interrelationships in the context of learning, conceived in the digital environment of education, calls into question not only the connections of mathematics as a scientific discipline, but also the connections of mathematics as an academic subject.
